Jewel Orchids: Ludisia is a genus of orchid that contains just one species,
Ludisia discolor, commonly referred to as the jewel orchid. They are mainly grown for their beautiful velvety leaves rather than their small white flowers. These orchids are native
to southern China, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia
and Burma, and is a terrestrial type that requires well drained soil that can also retain some moisture.
